Will Goo Gone Get Nail Polish Off A Stained Wood Table?

Well I painted the back of my iPod with nail polish (yes nail polish, I was bored) and I thought itcwas completely dry so I laid it on a stained wooden table. Well the polish ran down onto the table and left a pink smear. Do you think Goo Gone will work? I don't want my mom to find out. Please Help!
