What should i buy for my friend for her birthday?

My dad won't buy gifts for my friend's birthday's anymore since i am going to 8th grade, so I only have 30 bucks and I want to save up to buy something else so I need to buy something cheap but cool! My friend has protective parents who don't open her up to many things which can be both a goo and a bad thing. But I can't get her any: itunes gift cards, music, nail polish, or anything inappropriate. So what would be some cheap but nice gifts to buy?
