1 week old kitten advice?

a mother cat gave birth to a litter on 5 kitten in the hay room at my barn, 2 died within the first few days and the last third one had to be put to sleep because his legs were turned backwards, the other two that died had backwards legs as well, the two that survived were doing very well and their chances of survival were looking good, until two nights ago, we had to move the hay around to make room for a new shipment so i held the kittens as the hay was being moved and i put them back when the work was done. later that day i seen the momma kitten moving one of the kittens she came back to the barn 3 times with the same kitten trying to put it in the hay room but for some reason she kept turning around an taking it somewhere else. then yesterday she took the other kitten and left it under the dumpster, it was crying so i took it and it kept trying to munch on my finger. the mom was stalking me while i was holding the kitten and trying to clean it's dirty face. the eyes were crusty so i pulled the crust off and a yellowish goo came out, i got as much as i could out and put some antibacterial eye cream on it. i'm not sure what the mom did with the other kitten but when i find it i'm taking it home. the mom is less than a year old and doesn't really know what to do with these kittens. right now i'm feeding the kitten KMR formula and keep him in my dresser drawer with a heating pad and towel, i've never raised a kitten before he's about 1 1/2 weeks old, is there anything i should pay close attention too?
